About
Located in the heart of Oregon's High Desert, Prineville is as unique as its history is storied. Founded in 1877 and incorporated in 1880, the city has continued to serve not only as an economic & cultural anchor for the area, but as the seat of Crook County government.
Prineville’s connections with the timber, ranching & railroad industries are on display at the A.R. Bowman Memorial Museum, right across the street from the Inn.
But before a visit to the Museum, we’d suggest paying a visit next door to the Crossroads Diner, BBQ Pit & Pub. Serving breakfast, lunch & dinner, Crossroads has been a community staple since 2015, and a visit there will only serve to confirm its well-earned (and tasty) status.
We hope you enjoy your time in our unique & wonderful town, and that we can provide you with simple & restful hospitality here at the High Desert Inn on your next visit!
